Evergreen sits around 7,200 feet in the Front Range foothills, and that altitude changes everything about painting a house here. UV is significantly stronger than on the flats, the freeze-thaw swings are bigger, and the exterior working season is shorter — roughly May through early October on most years. Our Evergreen projects are timed and specced around that reality.

A lot of Evergreen homes lean into the mountain aesthetic: cedar and redwood siding, stained log exteriors, heavy-timber trim, and stone accents. We spend as much time on stain and clear-finish work up here as we do on traditional paint, with product systems designed to hold color under mountain sun and seal out the moisture that comes with deep snow seasons.

Evergreen housing is its own category. Classic mountain homes with cedar or stained siding, log and half-log exteriors that need specific log-home finishes, 70s and 80s mountain-modern two-stories, and newer high-end custom builds in Soda Creek, Hiwan, and along Upper Bear Creek. Steep lots and long driveways are the norm, so we plan staging, equipment, and schedule with that in mind. Wildfire-aware coatings and Class A fire-rated stains are increasingly relevant and we're happy to spec them where it makes sense.
